About Me

Mobile, Alabama, United States
I have been doing portraits since I graduated college. I studied art in Conway, South Carolina at Coastal Carolina University where I obtained my degree in Fine Arts. I love the challenge of bringing a person to life on a blank canvas. The moment where all the different strokes start to make sense and I can see the subject come to life is the best feeling. I also like the anticipation that is present before I show the finished work to a client. All of my work is done from photographs and usually takes under two weeks to complete.

The Portrait Process

The first step is having a great photo to work from. In order to have a great portrait created it is essential to start with a clear and decent size photo. I must be able to see all the facial details to really capture the client. After receiving the photograph we can discuss what medium and size.

Each portrait is uniquely customized to fit the clients desires. Please take time to visit http://www.flickr.com/photos/15399443@N06/and take a closer look at my artwork. This may help you decide what style/medium you would like.

Wonder Art Show

I decided at the last minute to have a table at the Wonder Art Show on Saturday. This is only the second time that I have set up a table and displayed my artwork this way. Usually I just do commissions through word of mouth. It was alot of fun!

It was hosted by Symphonic for the City. There were some fellow Craft Mafia members there and alot of other talented artists/crafters. I was glad that I participated in it.
